I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who put in time as judges for student talks during #EntSoc19. I just got the comments back on my talk and they were extremely helpful. Having this kind of quality review at a conference is incredibly valuable. You guys are the best!

One of the best things I learned at this year's #entsoc19 is that the parasitic wasp genus Idris has a new species named after @idriselba. I will be featuring this species in my General Entomology lecture tomorrow!

A reminder to whoever needs to hear it, esp those students that did not win 1st or 2nd at #Entsoc19: 1) it does not mean you are not a capable researcher, 2) it does not mean you do bad science, and 3) it does not mean you won't be successfuI in your career. I am living proof.

It was an honor to be in the same room with 15 of the 20 @EntSocAmerica presidents I have worked with since I first started this job in 2000 (and 3 of our future presidents). Thank you for your service #EntSoc19. This Society is great today because of you

Reflections on Insect decline in the Anthropocene at #EntSoc19. Thread 1 of 4. 1. All the data points the same direction, insects are declining rapidly. No one knows at what stage this will lead to ecosystem collapse, but the risk gets higher each year.
