Just your on-going reminder that everything Julian #Assange and #WikiLeaks staff, their legal reps, and the Correa government of Ecuador said about his persecution by the US and the decisions to seek and grant asylum is coming to pass. Exactly as predicted.
Ecuador has seized some of Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange's possessions left behind following his stay in its London embassy. An Ecuadorean judge authorised the seizure after a request for ...

Again: the reason Assange sought asylum and Ecuador gave it wasn't to hide from the Sweden case. He & Ecuador always said he'd go to Sweden if they promised not to send him to the US. The asylum was to protect him against this: *espionage* prosecution for *publishing documents.*

Ecuador withdrew Assange's citizenship. Therefore, it has no right whatsoever to be disposing of his personal property to a country, moreover, that has no jurisdiction over him. As usual, the country that does have jurisdiction over him, Australia, has done nothing to protect him https:// twitter.com/wikileaks/stat us/1130396010063310848   …

This is corporate colonialism, full stop. Amazon is probably going to get the rights to the domain name .amazon—against the wishes of the actual Amazon basin countries (e.g. Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, etc), who argue it should represent the region, not a company. https:// twitter.com/ReutersWorld/s tatus/1130692525868617728   …

#Assange US and Ecuador contempt for the rule of law in looting Assange's possessions should serve as a warning to all who travel. Your possessions are not safe from rogue nations.
